How to set up a pipeline
Create a Kanban board to track your leads through the stages of your sales process.
A pipeline is a visual board with columns for each stage of your process. You drag leads from column to column as they move forward. Kaliun ships with a default sales pipeline, but here's how to build your own.
Open the Pipelines tab
From the sidebar, click Pipelines. You'll see any pipelines you already have.
Click "New Pipeline"
Blue button, top-right.
Give it a name
Something descriptive — "Sales Pipeline", "Remodel Leads", "Warranty Tickets". You can always rename later.
Pick what it tracks
Usually People (for sales). You can also build pipelines on top of Companies or any custom object.
Add your stages
Click Add Stage and type a stage name. Repeat for each column you want. A typical sales pipeline:
- New Lead
- Contacted
- Site Visit Scheduled
- Proposal Sent
- Won
- Lost
Drag and drop to reorder. Click a stage to change its color.
Click "Save"
Your new pipeline opens as a Kanban board. It's empty at first — add leads by clicking + Add Entry on any column.
What happens next
- The pipeline shows up in your Pipelines tab
- You can drag cards between columns to update their stage
- Every drag is logged as an activity on the contact
- You can build workflows that trigger when cards move stages
You can have as many pipelines as you want. Common setups: one for new leads, one for onboarding signed clients, one for warranty callbacks. A single contact can live in multiple pipelines at once.
