How to move a lead through stages

Drag a lead from one pipeline column to the next as they progress through your sales process.

Your pipeline is a Kanban board. Moving a lead forward is as easy as dragging its card to the next column.

Open your pipeline

From the sidebar, click Pipelines and pick the pipeline you want to work with.

Find the lead's card

Scroll through the columns or use the search bar at the top of the pipeline to find a specific person.

Drag the card to the new column

Click and hold anywhere on the card, drag it to the target column, and release. The card snaps into place and the lead's stage updates instantly.

Alternate ways to move a card

From the contact detail page

Open any person record. In the sidebar you'll see Pipeline stage with a dropdown. Change it there and the card moves automatically on the next load.

Bulk move multiple leads

From the pipeline view, hold Shift and click to select multiple cards. Right-click and pick Move to stage → [stage name] to move all of them at once.

Right-click a card

Right-click any card for a menu with Move to stage, Archive, Open contact, and Copy link.

What happens when a lead moves

Every move fires these things automatically:

  • An activity is logged on the contact ("Moved from Contacted to Proposal Sent")
  • Any workflows that trigger on list_entry.stage_changed run
  • The stage counts at the top of each column update
  • Saved views with stage-specific filters refresh

Moves are optimistic — the card snaps to the new column instantly and Kaliun syncs with the server in the background. If anything fails (a permission block, for example), the card rolls back.
